Big Tech is Evil

Why the hell would telemedicine companies think sharing your personal data is okay? How could anyone even think this is not an invasion of privacy. HIPAA was supposed to address this crap.

An investigation by The Markup and STAT found 49 out of 50 telehealth websites sharing health data.

Germany bans O365 over Data Privacy Concerns

 The central German state of Hesse’s local Data Protection Authority (DPA) has banned the use of Microsoft 365 in its schools, citing concerns over privacy violations. According to the authority, the program’s settings gather data from within the users’ programs. This clearly violates the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) policies.

Is Your "Security" Software Selling Your Browsing History?

An Avast antivirus subsidiary sells 'Every search. Every click. Every buy. On every site.' Its clients have included Home Depot, Google, Microsoft, Pepsi, and McKinsey.

By it's very nature your AV processes everything you do.  Avast software decided to capitalize on that. The article says the data was leaked but since this a deliberate act on their part I'm not sure I'd call it a leak. They now prompt for an "opt-in" but don't provide any details on what is collected or how it's used.
